Introduction
I am a teacher educator working in the field of English Language Teaching . It is an area very close to my heart , as teachers are the ones who get ample opportunities to shape civilizations .Although in the present times it may seem that it is not a very good career choice. But , I am reminded of the words of Jacques Barzun , who remarked that Teaching is not a lost art but the regard for it is a lost tradition . As a teacher trainer we share a great responsibility , that of enabling would - be teachers to work towards regaining the lost regard for this profession.

My Professional Background
I have been fortunate to get opportunities to receive training at the portals of some of the esteemed institutes of Learning in India.
- I did Masters in English Literature from Hansraj college , University of Delhi.admissions
- I was initiated in to the teaching profession at Central Institute of Education , University of Delhiprogrammes
- I obtained degree in M.Ed.from Regional Institute of Education , Ajmer a constitutent unit of NCERT organizations
- Thereafter I cleared UGCNET for Lectureship in Education.
- To keep myself abreast with latest developments in the field of English Language Teaching I enrolled myself with the School of Distance Education , CIEFL , Hyderabad . programmes
- I did :
- Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching English ( PGCTE) with distinction.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching English(PGDTE).
- I am currently pursuing Ph.D from MDS University , Ajmer in the field of Education.

I am presently working in the department of Education , Amity University , Uttar Pradesh.[2]
Work Experience
- I have been associated with Teacher Training Colleges for the past four and a half years.
- I have taught Communication Skills at Graduate as well as Post Graduate Level.
- I have been closely associated with the development of syllabi of various courses at Amity University , such as M.Ed , B.A.B.Ed. (English)and Diploma in ECCE.
- I encouraged the use of Communicative Language Games in Teaching of English ( Practice Teaching ).
- I have been the Programme Leader of the Creative Expressions in B.Ed. wherein I organized various Art & Craft Workshops as well as Co -Curricular Activities ( Inter house Compttns.).
