My proposal is to fit the steps more around the wikipedia "Simple English". So a lexical syllabus looks like this:


  1. European framework basic user level A2 (Wordlist from Cambridge KET)
  2. Simple English (approximately the same size but more based on Basic English)
  3. European framework level B1 independent user
  4. The academic word list developed by Avril Coxhead see [1]
