What activities impact a 11 year old learner in their daily life. Refer to the CONTENT section for specific mathematical activities developed by thinking about these activities.

Explore the local materials needed to construct a house. Where do they come from? How do they get to your town? How much is needed? How much does it cost? etc.

Explore problem solving by looking at how many everyday activities involve observing. "Coming down the street (name of street in front of the school) will do what?" etc.
