Resume
My name is Nellie Deutsch. I am a Canadian citizen and experienced English teacher to speakers of other langauges, an accredited PAIRS (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills) practitioner, Reiki practitioner, Alexander and Silva Method graduate, and have a PhD (ABD) in educational leadership specializing in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix online. I am currently writing my doctoral dissertation on instructor use of technology in blended learning courses in Higher Education. I am passionate about learning, facilitating online and offline classes, and writing articles (I am the editor of an online journal for TESOL).
Work Experience
Full Time
1976-2009 - 33 years of teaching English to speakers of Hebrew in Israeli high schools (Ministry of Education), universities, and private companies.
Part Time
University of Tel Aviv. I taught classes in the English Department. Cisco Neta Project Summer 2004 and 2005: Haifa University and Making Waves: Hebrew University http://www.waves.galim.org.il and in other parts of the country from 2004-2007. Assisted and trained teachers in the Neta Cisco Project in Haifa and on using Making Waves in English classes in Kfar Haroe Junior and High schools and in a Primary school in Even Yehuda. Graduated from High School in Toronto, Canada with a BA from Bar Ilan University in English literature and linguistics and an MA in education specializing in curriculum and technology from the University of Phoenix.
