Hi Peter,
I realize you might not get this message here. I'll email you to take a look if we don't hear from you.
Just wanted to request that you stop by the Workgroup:WikiEducator Workgroups page to check out the progress that we've made. We've decided to create a charter so we can directly experience the process that we are suggesting for initiating a community-wide Workgroup.
While you are there, please add a brief statement of your relevant skills and experience (as related to the creation of the outcomes of this group) in the Workgroup participants list and note your preference as to communication method in the charter's communication section. And generally speaking all revisions, comments, contribution to ongong discussion are greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Looking forward to continued discussions.
Warm regards, Alison

Hi Peter,
Like Undurthy, I am also in the Learning4Content Workshop. One of my stated interests was quality, and Randy referred my to you given your leadership role with QA in for Educator Wiki.
My content contribution for the workshop will be to annotate some web sources related to wiki content. As a trained peer reviewer for MERLOT.org, I am interested in how standards will evolve and reviewers will be trained for the peer-reviewed levels
of content in this wiki. From the US I'm also familiar with Quality Matters standards for online content and EASI for universal access, and look forward to learning about ones that come from our various countries.
This is a most amazing global venture.

Awesome!
All very good points, and the structure and flow of these suggestions makes very good sense. I believe the greatest struggle will come in the 1. Taxonomy... How do we grow a taxonomy within a mass collaborative environment? My understanding is that taxonomies should not be prescribed but formed by the group as a part of their culture. How do you suggest establishing the taxonomy? --Peter Rawsthorne 22:53, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
