Template:Hi

This template is used to welcome new WikiEducators on their respective talk page. The template is based on the older hello template. It is intended to welcome new users.

It takes two attributes:

  • Name of user (required)
  • Personal message text - (required)

For example:

Help WikiEducator respond to the needs of new account holders by:

  • completing our online survey
  • If you don't have a user page, consider establishing one
  • Type your user name after the colon:
  • Remember that your user name is case sensitive
  • A new window will open when you're done.

Read this before creating any personal new page:

  • Edit your user page, use this syntax: [[/new personal page/]] and then save. This will create a link to a Sub Page under your User Page.
  • Some users choose to establish profile pages. If you choose to do so, please establish it by editing your user page, and simply adding this text: [[/My profile/]]. Don't forget to save! You can then link to and edit your profile.
