WikiEd Resource Development/what you want to achieve

When you set about creating a resource for teaching and learning, you generally enter the process with your own intentions and goals. In WikiEducator there could well be several people collaborating on one design so it is a good idea to state your goals for the design clearly, ‘upfront’, at the start of the process to assist you to stay focused and make relevant decisions. It is useful to force yourself to write this down – in a sentence or paragraph - so you can refer back to it as the process gets underway.

Your intentions or goals may well have to adapt or change as you gather information about the learners and the learning context – this is the emergent nature of learning design.

Note: What we are talking about here, are the overall goals of the project. They are not the specific learning objectives that your learners are working toward.
