About myself

My name is Shailendra Caulachand and I was born on September 8th, 1984. I currently work as a system and network administrator at Alliance web and Press publishing, a private French company, which is specialized in the creation of websites and web portals for French and European markets in the media industry especially in the print press.

Education

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Business informatics at the University of Mauritius in 2007 and I am currently doing my Master's degree in Educational technologies (MSc EDTECH) at the VCILT, a centre of the Life Long Learning Cluster (LLC) of the University of Mauritius, that delivers innovative e-Learning Programmes leading to Masters Degrees accredited by the University of Mauritius.

Wikieducator project

I became involved in the Wikieducator project recently through my Master's degree lecturer, Mrs Sandhya Gunness at the VCILT. I am assigned to updating the Mauritius web page on Wikieducator and put in relevant resources.

My interests

I've got many hobbies, but some of them involve bodybuilding, clubbing, playing video games and watching my favorite football team, Manchester United football club play. I have also an interest for tattoos, rock/metal and gangsta rap music, sport cars, racing motorcycles and car tuning.

My car

Till now, I have owned two cars. My first car was a Rover 214SLi. I drove it for 6 months and then sold it to purchase a Nissan Primera P11, which I heavily tuned myself and still working on. The Primera is a rare one, since it is a Japanese version of the P11. Most Primeras in Mauritius are UK versions, since Nissan begun production mostly in the UK. I have heard that there are only two Japanese versions of the P11 available in Mauritius.

My favourite music

Some of my all-time favourite bands include: The Offspring, Slipknot, Rage against the Machine, Pantera, Papa Roach, Megadeth, Children of Bodom, Mudvayne and Machine head.

Am actually listening to bands like Disturbed, Rammstein, Saliva, Ill nino, Godsmack, System of a down, Korn, 10 Years, Nine inch nails, Breaking Benjamin, Sevendust, Stone sour and Incubus.
