My name is Rima.
I graduated in 1996 from Jordan University for Women (Petra University) in Computer Science.
After I graduated I worked in the International Bank of Yemen as a computer database developer.
In 2001 I worked as a computer teacher in "The English School" for almost three years.
In 2004 I had to reduce my working hours because my children needed me so I worked as a volunteer computer teacher for an orphans Institute.
In 2007 I worked on a private project for my father who has a large library of more than 5000 books. I organized the books and developed a library database for him, at the same time I studied Oracle database in the Niit institute Sana'a.
Now I live in Saudi Arabia with my husband. I am improving my English language skills by taking online classes.
I am a mother, so I know how important is education for building good future generations who understand others and be useful members in the society.
I've been always interested in teaching elementary, primary and high school the computer technology.
I have a good understanding of this type of teaching from my three years of experience in teaching children, especially elementary and primary students they have enormous ability to understand technology. They just need to be directed to the right path in the use of computer technology.
I always dream to have my own business which is establishing a perfect school in my country.
I like to help children especially orphans and street children.
If I had enough money I would build a school for them.
About WikiEducator
I tried to think about magic words that I could use to describe WikiEducator to my friends especially who are teachers, how can I influence them to use WkiEducator. Then I knew that the best person who can give me the magic words that I was seeking for Is WikiEducator's founder. When I clicked "About" in wikieducator main page I found this wonderful presentation by Mr.Wayne Mackintosh. I would like this 27 slides presentation to be on my user page as an explanation for friends or new neighbors about WikiEducator.
| Description | A presentation by Wayne Mackintosh on the WikiEducator project. |
| Presentation time | 21 minutes |
| File size | Each slide requires an audio file download varying between 400K to 1.8MB. Broadband connection recommended |
