About Me
I am the Secretary General for the CYPRO which has just broadened its activities to the Nation at the moment in Chongwe at kanakantapa, and my full Names are Mr. Rodgers Mulenga, Founder member.
What I like most
- I am a worshiper of the Almighty God
- I like sharing skills and knowledge / Ideas
Why join the workshop
The best reasons for my joining into this workshop are that I always need a free platform were I can share my skills and those that might have the similar interest like me. I have been hearing about the wikis, wikis! I thought, what is this boring thing about wikies, I have been learning this talk about wiki this, that, on online D groups such at the itrainonline and econtentedu
when I head this opportunity is come on our way, I didn't want to miss it and it has already proven that it is good for us the trainers and for those that would want to share the learning resources.
About Chawama Youth Project (CYPRO)
Chawama Youth Project (CYPRO)was formed way back in 1994 and was established in 2001 and it is registered with the Registrar of Societies. Also registered with TEVETA, also it is affiliated to NYDC
The activities of the CYPRO are as follows:
- Carpentry and Joinery - being the first skill that was empowered to a few group members about 10
- Tailoring - also was one of the first skills for the youths mainly young women.
- Welding- was at a later stage added
- Power Electrical was at a later stage added at the same time with bullet number 3 above
- Automotive Mechanics was at a later stage added on demand from the locals
- Computer Lessons were later added with the support from IICD
The Centre has many other activities such as:
- Production in Carpentry, welding and Tailoring
- Training in the six activities above
- Internet/secretarial services
- Motor vehicle repair, etc
