Hi Wayne,
Of the millions of things we need to do, let's make this item a priority this week.
I'd like to see the real estate on the bottom of the main page - bottom right (for now!) heading to change to "Join Us"....and then use that space as a way to draw folks in....
I'll work on this, on Wednesday.... where's the actual template to start working on this....

Hi Randy,
My suggestion is that you start working on a new template in another area in the wiki - that is not linked to the main page. Once we're happy with a first draft - it's very easy to transfer this into the template for going live.
The trouble with Front-page text is that it doesn't look good when we're updating the page every time we make and edit.
The current template is template:frontpage_help
I've created a new template template:frontpage_join_us.
This way we can tweak, invite comments etc, before going live on the front page. I think its important to give folk an opportunity to comment on this. WikiEducator's are proud of their front page, so lets give them a chance to improve on our ideas.
Once we're done - uploading this is 30 seconds. I'll show you how its done.
