This project, Research in IT for EDUCATION (RITED) aims at conducting periodic national surveys to analyze what’s working in technology-transformed schools in Uganda,provide the reports free of charge here in the wiki to stakeholders and to show how technology can save money when properly implemented. Uganda schools are invited to this "Astro13" project where the subjects of astrophysics and astronomy are introduced. The level will be for youngsters of age 16+ . These subject are currently not included in the Uganda curriculum. The original notes in German are being translated to English with the cooperation of German and Ugandan educators. Read more.... Gayaza High School achieves a historic accolade,by being the first school in Uganda to implement a portal page on WikiEducator website under the Open Education Resource (OER) commons. The school's Open Education Initiative aims to empower their community of parents, teachers and pupils through open education. The OER Foundation, an international non-profit organisation ,has announced a free hosting service for all schools round the globe to profile their work in OER on WikiEducator and will provide a monthly free training for teachers in learning how to use a wiki under the Learning4Content project - the world's largest attempt to develop wiki skills for education.
